In the beginning of November the General Assembly of CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals) with 18 international tourism film festival members, was held in Vienna. As usual during the annual meeting of the festival directors, the awards from the yearly cycle and of course Grand Prix were handed out. This years’ “commercial” award was given to the production “Love Summer”, Macau. And the Grand Prix won the promotional film “The route of fate”, Spain. The contest for Grand Prix is based on the point that the productions gain from participating in different festivals. The first points awarded to those two projects were in April by our International Tour Film Fest “On the East Coast of Europe”. During the ceremony in Vienna, Maria Karagyozova (the festival director) handed over the special sign of the festival to the participants from Macau.

One of the newest festival-members of CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals) was held on a “lonely” island in the Aegean sea. Amorgos island is part of the Cyclades island group and is quite distant from the main land, which has kept it safe from unification.

In May in the framework of the Weekend Tourism Exhibition International Tour Film Festival "On the East Coast of Europe will be screening the films from this year's edition.
